Dave Fancher says: June 18

Goodbye, Amegala.
For the past two years I’ve worked with Amegala to bring  India na the developer conference it deserves.
During that time Amegala has gone through some  organization al changes and our visions for what the Indy.
Code() conference should be have diverged  significantly  enough that I’ve elected to cut my ties with Amegala.

I am no longer affiliated with Amegala or any of the

Code() family of  conferences .

I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished with Indy

Code() but the time was right for a clean break.
Despite severing my ties with Amegala I still strongly believe that  India na needs a world-class, locally-run, technology agnostic, community-driven developer conference and I’m still committed to making that happen.
So much so that I’ve already assembled a new team of strong, local  development  community leaders to do just that.
I’m really excited to announce that on the evening of June 15, Tiffany Trusty, Kevin Miller, and I had our first official meeting.
We’re still in the very early planning stages so we don’t have much to report yet but stay tuned – we’ll release more  information  as our plans materialize.
Tiffany Trusty, Dave Fancher, and Kevin Miller  commemorating the ir first conference planning session.
I don’t know what Amegala’s future plans are but if you’re looking for a truly Indiana-based conference run by people who know the Indiana  development  community, this new event is the one for you.

2018 at 11:20 am                                Hey Dave, good luck on this new phase.
I’m sure whatever you do with whomever you choose to, it will be awesome.

2018 at 2:25 pm                                Ahh, the planning stages for IndyTechFest come to mind.
We produced three of those, with 800+ registrants and 600+ attendees at the third event.
Great times.
We always focused on delivering a wide range of sessions at no charge to the attendees, with the sponsors providing the funding.
Happy to share insights that worked back then.
Good luck.

I think I went to two.
They helped set me on this path.

I’ll be glad to spread the word when you’ve got the first dates set.
(And be sure to hit me up if you’re looking for out-of-town speakers.)                               Dave Fancher says:                        June 19, 2018 at 1:26 am                                Thanks, Jeremy.
